U.S. Commission on Ocean Policy
A new report has come out on April 20th from the U.S. Commission on Ocean Policy on the health of our oceans. This report comes almost a year after the independent Pew Oceans Commission completed their exhaustive analysis of our seas.
With the publication of this second high-level ocean report, the science is confirmed — our oceans are in trouble. Overfishing, over-development of our coasts and increased amounts of pollution from cities and farms are leading to the decline of ocean wildlife and the collapse of entire ocean ecosystems. It’s not too late to act and employ new policies to ensure the future of the oceans and all life that depend on them.
